Alpha Institute is now offering classes via zoom. We offer training courses to individuals who are interested in expanding their expertise in the medical field. Students will be provided numerous opportunities to study, practice, and prepare to become more than qualified in their desired field of interest.

PHLEBOTOMIST TRAINING COURSE

The Phlebotomist training course will include classroom lectures and clinical hours. Students will be trained on the different types of needles used to gather blood, proper needle insertion, and puncture-wound treatment. In addition, students will gain expertise in proper laboratory procedures, specimen collection, safety protocols, and patient care techniques.

The Patient Care Technician/ Medical Assistance training course will include classroom, laboratory exercises, and supervised clinical hours, which may come in the form of internships or externships. Students will also complete the following learning modules: certified nursing assistant (CNA), electrocardiogram (EKG), phlebotomy, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and advanced nursing skills.

DRUG SCREEN TRAINING COURSE

The Drug Screen Training Course provides students with the knowledge and experience needed to be well equipped. We provide the skills necessary for industry professionals including supervisors, drug and alcohol program managers, collection site personnel, and drug testing entrepreneurs to make a positive and lasting impact in the struggle against substance use and abuse in the workplace. This course covers most aspects of a drug and alcohol-free workplace, especially in DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
